Over 20 cases of sabotage, shooting, robbery and violence are reported from different parts of Palestine. DEATH SENTENCE ON ARAB COMMUTED IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE INSTEAD OF HANGING '' (Received December 21, 7.55 p.m.) JERUSALEM, December 20. The death sentence on the Arab fisherman who was due to be hanged at dawn tomorrow has been commuted to life imprisonment on the ground that the remoteness of his residence and calling would probably cause him to be unaware of the existence of the death penalty for carrying arms. Last Friday a military court sentenced the fisherman to death for carrying a revolver, and sentenced the rest of his family of eight to imprisonment for life for being accessories.
