LAWN TENNIS A match between the Mokoreta and Mimihau tennis teams was played on the Mokoreta courts, the home team winning by five sets to three. The detailed scores, with Mokoreta players’ names appearing first in each instance, are as follows:— Men’s Doubles.—W. T. Knapp and D. L. Rhind lost to D. Horne and W. Smith, 3-5; S. Knapp and C. Foster beat A. Smith and J. Arnott, 5-4. Women’s Doubles.—Misses M. Robinson and M. Knapp lost to Misses E Smith and A. McLaren, 2-6; Misses M. Foster and M. Carnie lost to Misses W. Smith and B. McLaren, 4-5. Combined Doubles.—W. T. Knapp and Miss M. Robinson beat D. Horne and Miss E. Smith, 5-3; D. L. Rhind and Miss M. Knapp beat W. Smith and Miss A. McLaren, 5-3; S. Knapp and Miss Foster beat A. Smith and Miss W. Smith, 5-4; C. Foster and Miss M. Carnie beat J. Arnott and Miss B. McLaren, 5-4.
