NATIVITY PLAY PRESENTED

CENTRAL METHODIST CHURCH MEMBERS The Jed street hall was filled last evening when the Women’s Social Club of the Central Methodist Church presented the Nativity play, “The First Christmas.” The first scene was a hilltop in Judea, at midnight; the shepherds were tending their flocks and there was the coming of the three wise men. In the second scene Mary and the babe were shown in the lowly stable surrounded by the mothers with their children. Gifts were brought by the three wise men. During the play Mr F. H. Johnson sang “Nazareth” and Mr S. Kingston “The Star of Bethlehem”. Appropriate carols were also sung by the players who appeared in period costume. An orchestra under the leadership of Mr W. E. McLean played the incidental music.
