HUT DESTROYE DBY FIRE When the men employed at the Southland County Council’s metal works at Dipton. returned after being away for the week-end they found one of the huts used to store gear in had been destroyed by fire. The hut was of the portable type and was standing alongside the main highway. It was the property of Hansen and Gerrard, contractors. It is not known if the hut was insured.
