NEXT N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE HELD IN DUNEDIN (Special to The Times) DUNEDIN, December 6. A decision to hold the next New Zealand golf championships at the Balmacewan links was reached at a meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council in Wellington today. The Otago Club has been asked to nominate the date for the meeting, which will probably be held early in November. In anticipation of the holding of the Dominion championships in Dunedin the club has recently embarked upon a substantial expenditure on improvements to the course which should provide a good test of the ability of the players who will be present from all parts of New Zealand. The last occasion on which the New Zealand championships were held in Dunedin was in 1928. On that occasion S. Morpeth won the open championship, T. H. Horton the amateur championship and A. J. Shaw the professional title.
