FINE THREE-MILE RUN BY A. R. GEDDES

(United Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 6.

In a heavy atmosphere and on a heavy track extremely rough after a week of Wirth’s circus, A. R. Geddes established a course record for three miles on the Caledonian ground this evening, his time being 14min 48sec. Geddes was unassisted by a weak field. , Another outstanding event at the Otago Centre’s evening meeting was the one mile in which T. Allen defeated W. A. C. Pullar by 10 yards in 4min 20 3-ssec, fast time on such an uneven and dead track.
