RUGBY FOOTBALL A match to which supporters at Bluff were looking forward with keen anticipation was the proposed game with an Otago University team, to take place on the port ground on Saturday. This event has fallen through, the Bluff Club having been advised that the university side will be unable to make the trip. The day, however, will not be a blank one, as a match has been arranged with Old Boys and Bluff spectators should be treated to a bright game. The following Saturday what will be be probably the last game for the season will be played on the port ground between the local and Mataura fourth grade teams. This will be a friendly return match. Recently the Bluff side journeyed to Mataura and a keenly-contested game resulted in a three-all draw. The Bluff senior team to meet Old Boys will be selected from the following: Silvester, Nixey, Heads, Ballantyne, Mason, Calder (2), Ashwell, Hawke, D. Hamilton, Urwin, Robjohns, Crawford, Cooper, Sole, S. West, Dixon, Cameron,- Mclnytre, Vincent.
