DOMINIONS DISCUSS COMMUNICATIONS

CABLES AND WIRELESS COMPANY

LONDON, June 16.

A meeting was held at Australia House today to discuss Imperial communications. Several earlier meetings had been held between representatives of Britain and the Dominions arising out of the Cable and Wireless Company’s financial position as it affects Britain and flie Dominion governments. The discussions are expected to proceed for several weeks. There is not the slightest foundation for reports to the effect that the governments are likely to take complete control of the operating companies in the Dominions.
