CANTON ISLAND PARTY
EXCELLENT PHOTOGRAPHS OBTAINED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 16. Advice received from the New Zealand solar eclipse expedition now _ at Suva on the way back to the Dominion, states that fifteen excellent photographs were obtained at Canton Island. Photographs taken of the sun’s corona and of other aspects of the eclipse were developed as soon as possible after the event and they will be very carefully looked after as their value to astronomical science is very great. The party will reach Auckland at the end of the month.
