ARBITRATION COURT

ALARM OVER INABILITY TO" COPE WITH WORK (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 22. The Auckland Trade Union Secretaries’ Association passed a resolution stating that the association viewed with alarm the serious position which has arisen because of the inability of the Arbitration Court to cope with its work. A strong protest was also made against the irregular and unconstitutional method adopted to deal with the situation which, the association feels, will lead to a condition of confusion worse confounded. The association urges the Government to consider the immediate appointment of a new Judge of the Court. The resolution follows the indisposition of Mr Justice Page and the decision to let two lay members carry on in the meantime.
