QUAIL BANNED FROM AUSTRALIA
DANGER TO AGRICULTURISTS CONSIDERED (Received April 22, 11.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 22. The fact that 500 Californian quail are coming to Australia for breeding and ultimately fob sporting purposes led to a controversy whether the birds were likely to prove a pest to agriculturists. The consensus of opinion is that' the birds are likely to be a menace, with the result that the Federal Government has prohibited their importation.
