MILK SUPPLY FOR SCHOOLS
DEPARTMENT GIVES NO INDICATION A supply of milk for children attending Invercargill schools is still not available, the Department of Health having given no indication of its intentions since full information was supplied to it by the Mayor (Mr John Miller). On Monday, the Mayor sent the following telegram to the Director-General of Health (Dr M. H. Watt):—“Persistent inquiries are being made about the supply of milk to school children.” The Mayor stated last night that no reply had been received so far from Dr Watt.
