50 BALLOONS BURST IN FLAMES
18 PEOPLE INJURED AT SAN FRANCISCO. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 9.25 p.m.) San Francisco, Oct. 19. Eighteen people were injured, three seriously, when 50 gas-filled balloons burst in a great sheet of flame at the football stadium. The balloons, carrying political slogans, swirled down on the crowd, and a cigarette ignited one which detonated the rest.
