FLYING-BOAT SERVICE ACROSS ATLANTIC

NOVA SCOTIA TO GERMANY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.35 p.m.) Sydney (Nova Scotia), October 18. As a prelude to the establishment of a regular trans-Atlantic passenger and mail service, the German flying-boat Zephyr, of 10 tons, left Nova Scotia this afternoon on a flight of 1700 miles to the Azores and thence to Bremen, despite rain, fog and a cross wind of a velocity of 35 miles an hour. The machine will follow the path of its sister flying-boat, the Aeolus, which left on Friday.
