REVIVAL OF FLAX INDUSTRY
HEMP HARVEST IN NORTHAMP-
TONSHIRE.

(Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, September 17. The first crop of hemp to be grown in Britain is now being harvested at Billing, Northamptonshire, as part of an experimental effort to revive the British flax industry. Despite an unfavourable season the crop is reported to be highly satisfactory.
