WIRELESS POPULAR IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, September 16. The latest statistics show that the number of wireless receiving licences in Britain in August was 7,744,472. The Morning Post says that “saturation point” was formerly believed to be about 10,000,000, but it is now estimated at nearer 12,000,000, and in expectation of a steady increase in the number during the next few years a further programme of development is in prospect. Revenue from licences already amounts to £2,872,236, but if expectations are realized a considerable advance on this sum is looked for in the near future.
