BOY SERIOUSLY INJURED

Arrow Lodges In Eye (United Press Association.) New Plymouth, June 14. Struck in the eye with an arrow on Saturday, a boy aged six years was admitted to the New Plymouth Hospital with a severe injury. An operation was performed immediately, but whether the boy will lose the sight of the eye will not be known for a few days. The boy was George Richmond, son of Mr and Mrs B. Richmond, of Wharehuia, near Stratford. The boy and a young brother were playing with a bow and arrows when the other boy accidentally released an arrow which entered George’s eye. He was rushed to New Plymouth for specialist treatment.
