PLANE CRASHES
AIR FORCE CADET KILLED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10.10 p.m.) Melbourne, August 13. An Air Force aeroplane in which Pilot-Instructor W. Rae and Air Force Cadet Thomas Laws, aged 21, were practising a forced landing, struck a high tension wire at Point Cook, crashed and burst into flames. Lavvs was killed and Rae rescued from the flames by the school staff. He escaped with facial injuries.
