(United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) (Rev. 9.40 p.m.) Sydney, June 13. The Bulletin Newspaper Company, Limited, is defendant in an action for libel before the Chief Justice, and a jury in which £lO,OOO damages is claimed by Clarence Vivian Crockett, journalist and author, whose novel “Mexxomorto” was trenchantly criticized in the Bulletin of October 10 under the heading “Through a Muddle to Half Death.” Plaintiff claimed that he was held up to public contempt and that his professional reputation was permanently damaged. His counsel, Mr Av B.
