FOUND GASSED
SYDNEY MANUFACTURER.
ESTATE VALUED AT £30,000.
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.10 p.m.) Sydney, February 18. An estate valued at £30,000 was left by Mr Victor Clement Black, aged 44, a well-known city manufacturer, who was recently found gassed in his office. On the door of the room in which he committed suicide he left a note warning people of the danger of gas. At the inquest Black’s brother gave evidence that deceased’s wife died in December as a result of an overdose of sleeping draught. Her death was a great shock to her husband. The Coroner, returning a verdict of suicide, said it would appear that Black’s action was caused through illhealth and his nervous state following the death of his wife.
