PAPERS READ.

(Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, January 25. The joint annual conference of the New Zealand section of the Institute of Chemistry:of Great Britain and Ireland and the. New Zealand Institute of Chemistry was concluded to-day after a session of two days. A number of papers were read and visits paid to farms and factories. The presidential addresses were delivered by Mr G. A. Lawrence, of Wellington, and Professor H. G. Denham, of Dunedin. Mr Lawrence delivered an able paper on the history and possibilities of the frozen meat trade and Professor Denham spoke of the work of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. ■
