CHARGES OF THEFT.

(Per United Press Association.) Wellington, January 26. Twelve charges of theft against 12 boys resulted in the Children’s Court from the mother of one becoming suspicious when he could give no satisfactory explanation of possession of a Scout knife. , All but two were placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Department for 12 months. The other two were admonished and discharged. A boy from Petone who had stolen from Wellington shops was also placed under supervision for a year.
