NO FURTHER UNDERWRITING. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, June 7. It is announced that after June 16, J. P. Morgan and Company will continue as a private bank and will discontinue underwriting and the offering of securities. The Federal Banking Act of 1933 requires institutions engaged in both the deposit and securities business to choose one or the other by the date mentioned.
