N.R.A. ADJUSTMENT
PRICE-FIXING DISCONTINUED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Washington, June 7. In another radical adjustment of the N.R.A. philosophy an announcement was made to-day that all price-fixing would be discontinued except when the administrator deemed a “special emergency” made it necessary. This decision conforms to Mr Clarence Darrow’s recommendations, which held that price-fixing was creating monopolies to the detriment of small producers and consumers.
