Pierce, J. Cunningham (Invercargill), V. Shaw. Visitors to the Rocks, Riverton, during Easter included Mr and Mrs F. Cowie, Matai, Mrs W. M. Shand and Miss Isobel Shand and Misses H. Hamilton and B. Moore. Miss Ola Keith, Dunedin, who was the guest of Mrs M. J. Forde for the Cameron-Martin wedding, has returned home. Mrs W. A. Nicol and family, Centre Bush, have returned from Timaru. Mr and Mrs T. Payne, Limehills, have been the guests of Mrs Cecil Payne, Tuatapere. On Friday evening last a dance was held in the Limehills Hall in aid of the basketball princess (Miss Nan Wilson). Music was supplied by the Revellers’ Orchestra (Invercargill) while Mrs W. J. Cowie and Mr D. Wills contributed extras. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss N. Wilson and Mr H. McHugh and a spot waltz by Miss F. Payne and Mr T. Payne. Mr C. Grant was M.C. Mr and Mrs D. Pemberton, Nightcaps, have been spending a holiday at Winton. Miss D. Hammond, Clyde, has been visiting her' sister, Mrs S. Rodgers, Centre Bush. Mr and Mrs S. Payne, Centre Bush, spent the week-end with Mrs Driver, Invercargill. Miss O. Diack, Oreti, has been spending a few days at her home at Limehills. A euchre party -was held at Limehills last week when there was a good attendance present, the proceeds going to the cricket princess (Mrs _L. Brosnan). Mrs C. Watson was the winner of the ladies’ prize, while Mr C. Tippett was the successful man.
