Miss M. White, who has been visiting her parents, returned to Ashburton on Tuesday. Mr and Mrs W. N. Buxton were the guests of Mr and Mrs A. Ferguson, South Wyndham, for Easter, and returned home during the week. Mrs A. O. Saunders, Ringway, is spending a holiday in Christchurch. Mrs Newson, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mr and Mrs F. Hamlin, Yellow Bluff. Miss M. Summers, who has been spending a holiday with her people at Arrowtown, has returned to the township. Mr and Mrs Wills, Bellknowes, Dunedin, and Mr I. Wills, Mossburn, were the guests of Mr and Mrs Perriam during the holidays. Mr and Mrs D. Leask, Ashburton, are the guests of Mrs A. White, Main street. Mrs J. T. Brooker has returned from her visit to the North Island. Mr and Mrs R. Evatt spent Easter on a camping trip to Eglinton Valley. There was a good attendance at the annual St. Andrew’s dance on Easter Monday, and the function was a decided success. The hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion with greenery. Music was supplied by the Green Valley orchestra, and extras were played by Miss R. Jellyman and Mr E. Jellyman. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr A. T. Norman. Spot waltz was won by Miss F. Cartwright and Mr E. White. Amongst those present were: Mesdames G. Williams, C. Gillan, I.
