RIVERTON
Misses Murray, Gore, spent the Easter holidays as guests of Mr and Mrs W. McMurtrie. Miss Thelma Baxter, who attended the Bible Class camp at Invercargill, has returned. Mr and Mrs T. Bagley and family, Invercargill, and Mr _ Cyril Kirby, Wyndham, have been visiting Mr and Mrs M. Bagley, South Riverton. Mrs G. Holmes, Milton, who has been visiting her sister (Mrs W. Patterson) left for home on Friday. Mr and Mrs J. Blair, Wellington, who have been spending a fortnight’s holiday in the South, returned on Saturday. They expressed themselves as delighted with their stay and the glorious weather experienced. Mrs H. Green, Dunedin, has been visiting her mother, Mrs J. Wesley. Nurse Nott, Dimedin, is the guest of Miss Pitchell, Havelock street. Mesdames Ward and Ridder, Tuatapere, spent the week-end in Riverton. Mrs McLaren, sen., and her daughter, Mrs Harvey, Eastern Bush, were staying at their crib during the holidays. _ Mrs J. Harvey, South Riverton, is visiting her daughter, Mrs J. Maker, Kapuka. The Rev. F. O. and Mrs Prosser, accompanied by Mr B. Prosser, left at the beginning of the week for their new home at Island Bay, Wellington. The family were very popular during their stay here, and were suitably farewelled at different functions in town and district. Mr and Mrs J. Scobie, Christchurch, who have been looking up old friends and acquaintances in the district, left for Otago Central on Monday. Mr and Mrs J. A. Mackenzie, South Riverton, are spending a holiday in the Lakes district. Mrs W. McKenzie, Dunedin, who was
present for the races, returned north on Wednesday. Miss R. Featherstone, Invercargill, has been visiting the seaside. Miss P. Duncan spent the Easter vacation with her parents at Otautau. Mr and Mrs Strang, Invercargill, spent a few days recently at their house at the Rocks. Miss B. McNaughton is spending a holiday on the West Coast. Staying at Beach House, Riverton Rocks, during Easter, were Mr and Mrs Tayler and the Misses Tayler (2), Waikiwi, Mr and Mrs Ronald and children, Invercargill, Mrs and Miss Dudman, Invercargill, Mr and Mrs Monk, Invercargill, Mr and Mrs Cowie and daughter, Winton, Miss Gray and Miss Lane, Dunedin, Mrs Myers and Mrs Holtz, Invercargill, Miss Featherstone, Invercargill and Mr Glennie, Invercargill. Mrs Wright and family, South Riverton, have returned after visiting friends in Invercargill. Mr and Mrs Bell, of Owaka, have been visiting Mrs T. J. Price.
