SCHEME IN SOUTH OTAGO. FARMERS’ DECISION. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, April 9. The Clutha branch of the Farmers’ Union has decided to initiate a voluntary health insurance scheme in South Otago, and has impressed upon the Government the necessity for a national compulsory scheme. The Minister of Health (the Hon. J. A. Young) advised the branch that there was no obstacle in the way of the voluntary scheme being initiated, if sufficient interest were stimulated.
