PENAL SERVITUDE
RUMANIAN CONSPIRATORS.
(United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright.) Bucharest, April 5. Constantinescu, Caranciu and Belimace were sentenced to penal servitude for life for complicity in the assassination of Dr. Duca. Fifty otheis were acquitted.
The Rumanian Prime Minister (Dr Duca) was assassinated on December 28 last, when he was about to board a train at Sinaia for Bucharest after a conference with King Carol. He was shot at close range. The assassin was a student, Nicholas Constantinescu. He and two accomplices were members of the Iron Guard, which was dissolved by Dr Duca. The motive was political revenge. Dr Duca had opposed King Carol’s return to Rumania.
