Wedding

WYETH—LEEBODY. The wedding of Margaret Lucinda (Daisy), fifth daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Leebody, Hedgehope, to Robert Lawrence, twin son of Mr and Mrs C. Wyeth, Woodlands, took place on the afternoon of March 21 at the Hedgehope Presbyterian Church which was prettily decorated for the occasion with bowls of asters and gladiolas by friends of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. A. C. Lyon. The bride entered the church with her father to the strains of “The Voice that Breathed o’er Eden” played by Mrs Lyon. Her dainty frock of ivory embossed georgette and satin fell in soft full flares to the ground with rosebud trimming of delicate shades on the boat shaped neckline and short puffed sleeves. The back was finished with a drooping bow and Victorian posy. Her long plain tulle veil, which formed a train, was kept in place by a row of tiny pearls and a cluster of orange blossom at the back of the head. A sheaf of deep cream and pale pink gladiolas was carried. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Doris Leebody, as bridesmaid who wore a frock of pink floral georgette caught at. each side with a wide ribbon of delphinium blue velvet forming a large bow at the back. She wore shoes of the same shade of blue and blue flowers round her head. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and cream roses. The bridegroom’s twin brother, Mr Phillip Wyeth, was best man. After the ceremony, the guests adjourned to the residence of the bride’s ' parents where they were received by Mrs Leebody, mother of the bride, and Mrs Wyeth, mother of the bridegroom. Each carried bouquets of deep red roses. The time was spent happily with the usual toasts and speeches. 1 In the evening, 300 people assembled < at the hall where dancing made the 1 time pass pleasantly. The grand march < was led off by the bride and bride- J groom and excellent music was supplied ’ by Miss Henie Cowie (piano) and Mr 1 Morton (violin). < For travelling the bride chose a grey 1 marocain frock relieved with a blue ; and grey hat, coat, gloves and shoes. 1 Prior to her wedding, the bride was < entertained at a kitchen evening where < she received many useful gifts. 1
