Mr and Mrs A. Mitchell, Mosgiel, who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs T. N. Mitchell, Clyde street, have returned home. Mr and Mrs R. D. Pearce, Park street, left on Friday to spend a holiday in Christchurch. Mr and Mrs Garfield Todd, Dunedin, are the guests of Mrs J. B. Wilson, Queen street. Miss K. Bell left yesterday to spend a fortnight’s holiday at the Rocks. Mr and Mrs F. Clayton, Park street, spent the holidays at Stewart Island. Mr and Mrs J. Watson and family, North Auckland, are the guests of Mrs I. N. Watson, East Winton.

McGillivary. Mrs E. Ward spent a few days in Invercargill last week. Mrs M. Smith, Pukekohe, is the guest of Mrs G. Horner, “Timboon,” Oreti. Miss Bessie Hewitt, Invercargill, spent the New Year holidays with her parents, Mr and Mrs W. Hewitt, Great North Road.

Mr and Mrs Haynes, St. Kilda, Dunedin, accompanied by Misses Beck and Wellsmen, Sumner, Christchurch, were the guests of Mr and Mrs J. G. Hayward, Forest Hill, for the holidays and later spent a few days with Mrs A. Thomson, Hokonui. Mr and Mrs W. L. Cunningham, “Castle Downs,” Dipton, were visitors to Invercargill last week. Miss J. Watson, Lochiel, is spending a holiday in Timaru. Miss Zonie Ward is spending a holiday in Invercargill as the guest of her aunt, Mrs J. J. Ward. Miss Ola Keith has returned to Dunedin after spending a few days with Mrs M. J. Forde.

Mrs R. Balch and family are spending a holiday at Oamaru. Miss Jean McDougall returned from Nelson at the week-end. Mr and Mrs J. Adams, Outram, spent a few days with Mrs A. Adams, Eglington street, last week. Mr and Mrs L. Jenkins, Warepa, are the guests of Mr and Mrs D. Jenkins. Miss Iris Jenkins, Invercargill, was the guest of her aunt, Mrs J. Crawford, last week. Mr and Mrs H. Liddell and Miss Elva Liddell have returned from a camping holiday spent at Kaka Point. Mrs L. Birss and family, Forest Hill, and Miss R. Dodds, Dunedin, are spending a holiday at Riverton. Mr and Mrs Victor Todd, St. Albans, Christchurch, who have been the guests of Mr M. Summers, have returned home. , ~

Miss Edna Pearce, East Limehills, who has been spending a holiday at Invercargill, is now visiting friends at Bluff. Miss Hayward, Forest Hill, was the guest of Miss Doris Guise, Waipango, for a few days last week. Mr and Mrs A. Cole and their daughter Patrica, of Invercargill, who were the guests of Mrs I. N. Watson for the holidays, have returned home. Mr and Mrs R. M. Gilmour have been visiting Roxburgh. Mrs J. Loft, Forest Hill, is spending the school vacation in Australia. Miss Isobel Shand, Great North road, has returned from Riverton. Miss E. Jones, Invercargill, is the guest of Miss H. Clements, Great North road. Mr and Mrs R. King, “The Bend, are spending a holiday at Pounawea. Miss Rona Dixon, Queen street, is spending a holiday at Pukeuruhe.
