TINY BOOK PRINTED
PROBABLY WORLD’S SMALLEST. OMAR KHAYYAM TRANSLATION. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Worcester (Massachusetts), October 25. The completion of what is described as the smallest printed book in the world was announced here to-day. The volume consists of 28 pages of 46 quatrains of the translation of "Omar Khayyam.” Its size is 3-16 by 6-16 of an inch. It is leather bound and it is printed from copper plates. Seven plates, each containing four pages, were made by photo engraving. Two quatrains appear on a page. The completed book weighs a third of a carat and took seven years to complete.
