JAPAN BUYS PAPANUI. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, October 25. The Japanese have purchased the steamer Papanui for about £B5OO. ANOTHER VESSEL TAKEN. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10.25 p.m.) London, October 26. The Red Star’s ship Lapland has been sold to Japanese shipbreakers for £30,000. Japan has bought from Britain alone in the past three years 255,477 tons of shipping.
