HOCKEY. (From Our Correspondent.) The Fortrose ladies’ hockey team travelled to Gorge Road on Saturday to meet the Gorge Road team in a match for the McKenzie Shield, _ and were defeated by three goals to nil. Boating Club. A meeting of the Boating Club was held on Saturday evening, Mr J. Speden being in the chair. The business concerned repairs to the shed which will be used for storing boats, gear, etc. Specifications were received for timber, iron, etc., which were agreed on. A small new shed will also be erected on the shore for the use of the committee during the yachting season. The City Council agreed to pay a quota towards the cost of material. The club is to do the work on the large shed.
