FIRST OF ITS KIND
SKIS CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING, SECONDARY SCHOOLS. (Per United Press Association.) Timaru, May 8. The secondary school and college ski championships are being held at the Hermitage, Mount Cook, this week. The boys’ championships will commence on Thursday and the girls’ next week. Eleven boys’ schools in the South Island and nine girls’ schools, eight in the South Island and one in the North. Island, will be represented. Parties of boys are now assembled at the Hermitage. The first few days will be spent in training for the championships. Other events aie being conducted towards the end of the The event is the first of its kind ever held in New Zealand and it L hoped to make the meeting an annua fixture.
