FARMERS PERTURBED
MYSTERIOUS FIRES. INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, Maj 7 8. Several stacks of valuable winter feed have been destroyed by mysterious fires in the Marshland district durmg recent weeks. It is believed they are of incendiary origin, possibly connected with the price-cutting war. Farmers are perturbed and are considering engaging armed guards for properties. The latest incident occurred last evening, when a shed, owned by E. and A. Crozier and containing 20 tons of hay, as well as a garage and cowshed, were destroyed. In one earlier fire two motor vehicles were destroyed.
