TENNIS. (From Our Correspondent.) At Limehills on Saturday in glorious weather, Dipton defeated Centre Bush Tennis Club by the narrow margin of five games, the sets being equal. This is the first defeat the Centre Bush Club have sustained this season, though still retaining the lead in the competition. Following are details, Centre Bush names first: Men’s Singles.—Reid 2 v. Thomson 6; Wilson 0 v. Whitaker 6; Phillips 3 v. Stewart 6; Boyd 3 v. Watt 6. Ladies’ Singles.—Miss Payne 6 v. Mrs Whitaker 0; Miss Campbell 6 v. Miss Stewart 1; Miss Egerton 6 v. Miss Finlayson 2; Miss Stewart 0 v. Miss O’Callaghan 6. ' Meh’s Doubles.—Reid and Wilson 1 v. Thomson and Whitaker 6; Phillipa and Boyd 6 v. Stewart and Watt 3.
Ladies’ Doubles.—Misses Payne and Campbell 6 v. Mrs Whitaker and Miss Stewart 3; Misses Egerton and Stewart 6 v. Misses Finlayson and O’Callaghan 3. Combined Doubles.—Reid and Miss Payne 6 v.
