TAKEN FROM GARAGE
THEFT OF DRAPERY VAN. (Per United Press Association.) Ashburton, November 2. Burglars last evening forced an entry into A. White’s garage at Methven and removed a drapery van containing £2OO worth of stock, the property of the D.1.C., Christchurch. A fruit shop was also entered, but only a few bananas were taken. An attempt to force Battson’s drapery doors proved unsuccessful. The lorry stolen at Methven was later abandoned near the Rakaia river with little if anything missing.
