RIOT SENTENCES
NO INTERFERENCE BY GOVERNMENT. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, November 2. A definite statement that the Government did not intend to interfere with the riot sentences was made today bv the Hon. J. G. Cobbe when replying to the request of the Parliamentary Labour Party that the sentences should be reviewed. Mr Cobbe added that the sentences would be reviewed in the ordinary course by the Prisons Board.
