RIVER SEVERN
NEW BRIDGE BEING ERECTED.

(Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, October 6. Plans have been completed for a bridge across the Severn at Newtham yzhere the river narrows to a width of 400 yards. The scheme, which is estimated to cost £250,000, is being financed privately and only awaits the sanction of appropriate authorities. The bridge will be 1410 ft long and carried on 32 piers. It will represent a saving of 32 miles for traffic from England to South Wales.
