SHEFFIELD SHIELD MATCH. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 9.25 p.m.) Sydney, March 22. In the Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales, South Australia in the second innings made 225 (Nitschke 119; O’Reilly five for 59). New South Wales in the second innings made 118 (Bill 46). Bradman failed to score. He was clean bowled in both innings. Grimmett took four for 32. South Australia won by 132 runs. Both these states are equal with 25 points each for the shield, but New South Wales win on the averages. In the first innings New South Wales made 247 and South Australia 272. SOUTH AFRICANS EASY WIN AT PERTH. (Rec. 12.15 a.m.) Perth, March 22. South Africa won their match against Western Australia by an innings and 243 runs. South Africa closed their first innings with nine wickets down for 488 (Morkel not out 150; Inveracity five fo< 144). Western Australia in the second innings made 62 (Bell one for 22, Morkel eight for 13).
