NO REASSEMBLY OF REICHSTAG. (Untted Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Berlin, December 17. The Reichstag House Committee defeated the Hitlerites, aided by Communists, in their attempt to force an immediate reassembly of the Reichstag. This represents a substantial increase in Dr. Bruening’s Reichstag majority. His recent strong speech, which was broadcast, put Herr Hitler on the defensive and enabled Dr. Bruening to insist on his own conditions before. he would accept the Hitlerites’ cooperation with the Government.
