SOVIET DECREE
NO FOOD WITHOUT WORK

Riga, December 16
“No work, no food,” is the substance of the new order issued by the Soviet Commissariat of Agriculture, stating that every able-bodied man, woman and child in the Soviet cotton districts of Central Asia must work in the cotton fields. Bread and other food will be distributed strictly according to the amount of work done.
