NEW GUARD’S LATEST MOVE. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 12.55 a.m.) Sydney, December 16. Speaking in the Town Hall to-night, Colonel Campbell, leader of the New Guard, said a petition would be sent to the King next month with approximately 100,000 signatures asking that the Government of New South Wales be dissolved. “The New Guard's petition to the Governor, Sir Philip Game, to dissolve Parliament only met with formal acknowledgment,” he said, “so now we are going to a higher authority.” He said he had advised Mr Lang to see the writing on the wall and get out.
