OLD MAN MURDERED
WIFE BRUTALLY ASSAULTED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.35 pm.) Sydney, December 14 Two men bound and gagged Alexander Barry, aged 75, at his homo in Paddington and battered his head with fatal results. His wife rushed to liis aid and was brutally attacked, receiving injuries which are expected to be fatal. Robbery is supposed to have been the object, as it is reported that Barry was fairly well-to-do ami kept a large sum of money in the house where he lived for many years because he feared to deal with the banks.
