FRUITLESS TRIP
HERR HITLER SPECIAL VISIT TO BERLIN BROADCAST BANNED (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Berlin, December 12. Herr Hitler arrived for the purpose of seeing Field-Marshal Von Hindenburg, a foreign newspaper representative and to broadcast his views on America. He failed in all three objects. The Foreign Office banned the broadcast under a decree forbidding propaganda. Herr Hitler, seeing that the authorities were in earnest and faced with the possibility of deportation as a native of Austria in the event of defiance, departed from the capital. It is reported he may proceed to London and Rome shortly to meet influential people. It is stated by the Deutsche Allgenieine Zeitung that he expressed the view recently that British opinion with regard to France was significantly changing. The United States and Italy were becoming increasingly irritated. France, owing to the gold hoard and militarism, was becoming the most hated nation in the world. A general collapse of the world’s markets would force all nations to form a united front against the solo profiteer nation.
