MURDER IN PARIS
GEORGIAN EX-MINISTER SHOT. REVENGE ASSASSIN’S MOTIVE. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph— Copyright.) Paris, December 7. A Russian workman, Tchanoukvadze, walked unostentatiously beside the Georgian ex-Minister, Louis Romichivilli, while he was proceeding to a political meeting at the Place d’ltalie, when he quietly drew a revolver and fired twice. Romichivilli was killed instantly. Tchanoukvadze has been arrested. Two pedestrians grappled with the assassin, who injured both and continued firing until the police mastered and led him, covered with blood, to a police station. He declared that he avenged himself because Romichivilli was responsible for his dismissal and that he was politically crooked.
