Mr R. Fisher, president of the Golf Club, presided over the meeting and assured intending players that they would receive every support and consideration from the general committee and that the links would be kept in good order. A summer committee was then formed, comprising Messrs R. Fisher (chairman), A. J. Kerse, I. I. McGregor and J. A. Sinclair, Mesdames J. A. Sinclair, E. J. Crosbie, Misses I. Rhodes and E. Sim.

Mr E. J. Crosbie was appointed secret ary.

Mr and Mrs Sinclair were asked to draw up an official programme for the season, and novel and interesting competitions are promised for all. It was decided to hold the opening on Thursday next, when mixed foursomes will commence from 5 p.m. for trophies kindly donated byMr Fisher. ,
