EXILED SPANIARD
WARM RECEPTION ON RETURN. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.10 p.m.) Madrid, May 2. It is estimated that 10,000 assembled at the station to greet Senor Unamuno, former Rector of Salamanca University, who was exiled during the dictatorship. On his arrival he addressed a meeting of Republicans. The crowd cheered wildly, some shouting "Long live Unamuno. Down with Alfonso.” Whereupon a bugle sounded and police, mounted and afoot, charged with drawn sabres. Twelve were wounded.
