COTTON WEEK
CAMPAIGN IN BRITAIN.

The national cotton week is beginning on May 5, including efforts throughout Britain to improve the home cotton market. A thousand shop windows will exhibit cotton goods.
The chairman of the campaign, Mr Holroyd, blames short skirts and the almost total disappearance of the petticoat for home sales being 400,000,000 yards less yearly than before the war.
